Most of our design and build projects end up somewhere between roughly $360-540 per square foot.
We typically begin putting together your estimate over our first few design meetings. We also begin exploring feasibility at the same time that we are going through the design process. Generally, we complete your estimate once your design portion is complete, and we have your (semi-final) building plans and a clear understanding of your finish choices.
Every custom build timeline is unique based on its size, jurisdiction, complexity, and scope of work. However, a good rule of thumb is roughly 3-4 months for design, 4-6 months for engineering & permits*, and anywhere from 6-18+ months of actual construction time.
*Depending on the specifics of your property, and if allowed by the local jurisdiction, we typically try to accomplish as many “pre-construction” requirements (septic design & permitting, site prep, land clearing, etc) as possible during the permitting phase.
